L’Oustaou is a magic spot.
On the Mediterranean-side slopes of the Cévennes mountains this XVIIIth century property, formerly a magnanerie (where silk worms were raised), affords magnificent views.
The bread oven in the courtyard, and the threshing yard over the underground tank of water are vestiges of the kitchen of the hamlet of Penens, as l’Oustaou used to be called. In this old farmhouse, Elisabeth receives her guests as friends.
